I’ve
been wanting to “get” for a good many years now – get a good bike, get the
perfect computer, get this, that, and the other thing that I think would make
me happy – but I’m slowly starting to see that wisdom is what I really need to
get, and that I can get it with no commitment of money and no major struggling
or striving. Wisdom is wherever I am, waiting to be bought for nothing. It’s as
small as the simplest thought and as grand as the great oceans, and it’s perfectly
free for the taking. Wisdom is as present as dust settling on the sidewalk, sunlight lying on
my shirt, breezes blowing beside me. It’s everywhere and waiting to work
for me, and so easy to get.
